2. Power Transmission & Distribution Engineering
Power Transmission & Distribution Engineering consisting of engineering design and equipment/systems specifications for electrical equipment and systems. Main activities under this category are:
a. Engineering drawing: Single line, three line, relay & metering diagrams of power plants/substations/ industrial power distribution projects, breaker/disconnects/ground switch control schematics .HV/MV/LV switchgear schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical layouts consisting of equipment layout, switchyard layouts, grounding / shielding / lighting / cable / BBT System/ cable tray layout, cable schedule & interconnection diagrams.
b. Equipment Supply : Power Transformer, Cast resign Distribution Transformer , Oil immerse Distribution Transformer , instrument transformers, Gas insulated switchgears (up to 400kV), Air insulated switchgears, HT Switchgear Panel (11KV, 33KV, 132 KV), HV/MV/LV Circuit breakers, Disconnects & Ground switches, , surge arresters, LV motor control & distribution boards, panel boards, control /relay / annunciation / mimic panels, neutral grounding devices, cables, motors, Energy Management Product and other relevant electrical equipment of power plants and EHV substations. General engineering specifications and installation practices.
C. Control and Relay Panel Engineering : Preparation of protection and metering SLD, three line diagrams, control schematics and wiring diagrams, equipment list, panel GA and foundation plan and terminal plan for11/ 33 / 132 / 220 / 400 KV control & relay panels (conventional / with BCU) using automated wiring software AutoCAD Electrical 2009.
a. Civil/Structural/Architectural design and drawings of tower, gantries, equipment structures and foundations, control/DG/fire fighting pump house buildings, fire water pool, transformer foundation, cable trenches, roads & drainage, switchyard fence & gate and cable trench. Civil/structural design calculations are made using STAAD computer programs.
b.Preparation of structural GA drawings.
4.Tender evaluations, recommendations to client and providing assistance to client for placement of orders.
5.Vendor drawing review and approvals/coordination with vendors for equipment finalizations.
6.Detail engineering: Modifications/finalization of basic engineering/drawings with respect to actual equipment to be supplied.
7. Inspection & testing of electrical and mechanical equipment at manufacturer’s shop.
The design and engineering work will be executed in line with client’s standards and specifications, national/international codes & standards like IS/ANSI/IEC/UL/NEC/NFPA etc. as required.
